Hi ! the best way is for you to take a train or a bus into the port authority bus terminal located on 42st. and 8th ave. from there you can take a taxi or the subway to where you want to go, it's ez and fast to get around the city, and you don't have to worry about not drinking,because your not driving, so you party on ,and have fun in my beautiful city. ciao from NYC

start acting in high school ,
maybe major in theater in college,
develop waiter and bar tending skills somewhere along the line ,- you'll need them
move to a small apartment in Brooklyn or Queens
do a lot of auditions and open cattle calls
continue taking acting. singing , dance classes
you may eventually get a part in an off Broadway play
