I think it's wrong for you to be dating at your age period. Why are you rushing?
You know what happens to people who rush dating when they're your age? Their whole life gets rushed. The end up losing their vitality. When some people are just starting life at 40, they're just tired and old. Same age, but mentally and physically, totally aged.
Grade 7 is for hanging out with friends, not dating.

no dear its not wrong to date a younger fellow.
although it might change your mind when you start seeing the immaturities that a younger someone might have.
Although you are in 7th grade... your friends might not approve of your choice.

but since he's not, then go ahead and date him
don't care about what anyone says about you two
if you genuinely like him, then it doesn't matter
