Duh!! Use the stamps, thats why they give them to you!! Dont pay no attention to all them stuck up people

If you receive food stamps you should use them. That is the reason you applied for them. For all of the people that say get a job be careful what you say. Not every person that receives assistance is a freeloader. Some of them are disabled. I received food assistance for the children I foster. Foster parents get food vouchers which is also paid for by tax payers like my husband and I. Also any person that gets state assistance is only allowed to do so for a short period of time. If they are an able body. Remember the small amount of money we spend on welfare is nothing compared to all of the unnecessary and unaccounted money we get taxed for. Would you rather help a family care for their children or some politician's bank account?

If you have food stamps and u are eating at your mothers that is awful. If you and your family run out of food stamps and have no other way to eat then eat at your mothers. Dont just use her and stock up on food stamps!!! It is your responsibility to feed your family not your mothers. If you need help then turn to your mom.

How about doing a meal at your mom's house AND going to the store (as I'm sure your family will need food again.) Try making it a family gathering moment. Bring your mother a kitchen staple or two to thank her for her kindness and support. Offer to have dinner at your house the next time. Make something that is easy to do at lowcost for multiple people -- such as spaghetti or chicken stirfry.

This just seems like an odd question to me, because I'm sure you've used your food stamps before. If you want what she's cooking, go have dinner at your moms, if not, go to the store.

If your Mother doesn't mind helping you then go there. I am sure she doesn't mind if she knows your situation. However, are you also working? I realize everyone needs help now and then, and I would certainly ask my family way before I would get on government assistance and they would help me before they would let me do this also. I guess I was raised that government assistance was only and I do mean only used as a last resort. I would sell my computer first and everything else that wasn't absolutely necessary to make it. Honey, I wish you well and hope that things start to turn around for you soon.

Just because she's got food stamps doesn't mean she's not working. I know a few people that use them and they're working, raising a family and going to school to better their lives. Go ahead and use them. You do what you have to to take care of your family.

I would go to the store myself instead of going to my mom's. Now it would be different if you did not have no way of buying food and you needed food in the worst way and that being going to a relatives home to eat.

you should use the food stamps at the address you got them at and for the people who are saying get a job pray for them that they will never have to go threw what you are going threw to get those few stamps that you do get , people just dont understand how low it makes you feel when you have childeren and have to go beg a case worker for food to feed them because of a loss of a job or the loss of a spouse , alot of people just think you feel out a applaction and automaticly get the things they dont realize the case workers are trained to make you feel like you are takeing it out of there pockets , yea there is alot of people who work and get food stamps because minumim wage is not enough to pay for the gas to get you back and forth to work for the week , so just pray for those people

Your mom raised you, now you have to try and raise your own family. If you dont have a job, get one. If you qualify for food stamps and dont make enough to feed your family, use them.

If your mom is willing to let you eat at her home then why not? I wouldn't take advantage but if you need help and she is offering then it is stupid to not take her up on it. I wouldn't take go over and eat her food if she needs it herself though.
Then on your way home stop at the store and buy some sensable food items with your assistance. Buy foods that are healthy and will last. Think about the week ahead and not just tonight.
