--Well, it seems like it could fit, they might even like the connotation. I do not see through it that you are calling them names--Denial of God is their main thrust, and they certainly are good at it, less reason & acceptance of factual sciences.
--BY AN ATHEISTIC BELIEVER WITH NO VALID REFERENCE, ACTUALLY NO REFERENCE OF ANY KIND:
--"HOWEVER(my caps) thats not gunna happen because most of the smartest minds of the world are atheists"
----Boy that must have been some survey, that was taken, that is called "A sweeping generalization"--And that indeed is one of the best I have read. This person just swept all our valid sciences out the door!
---INVALIDATING - is also an interesting psychological weopon. When people try to invalidate God , or peoples love for truth, they are following the great invalidator, Hitler --who tried to invalidate everything good--Such as the conscience, peoples outcry for mercy, the handicapped pleadings for kindness, the stench of those burning at the holacaust.
HOW DID HE SUCCEED? By believing anyone not truly Arian was a stench on this earth, by not going to these exterminating camps, by calling the conscience along with his friend Nieztcske a cimera(many headed monster)
So then, when invalidating someone, something, or someones valid feelings---denying is a powerful tool!

The be conscious "atheist" potential "non-theist" i.e. somebody who isn't a theist. everyone who isn't a theist is an atheist. on the grounds that theism is so common that it has substitute into the norm, it has looked had to make a be conscious to describe the those that lack thought in gods. you do not could desire to have faith gods do not exist to be an atheist, you purely could desire to lack thought in gods. you do not could desire to be attentive to, or declare to be attentive to, that gods do not exist. Atheism isn't a thought. the reason the "ism" maintains to be, is as a results of the fact this relies on the be conscious "theism". The "a-" potential "non-" so if something, it implies the lack of ideology.

No, it wouldn't be appropriate or accurate. Atheists don't believe in any sort of a god. They're not "believing in denial." If you don't believe in the tooth fairy, you're not denying anything, you're choosing not to believe in a made-up being.
Gary--"intolerant" atheists? We're not the ones trying to force anyone to share our lack of belief. We don't start wars, crusades or inquisitions. We don't insist that "there is no god" be put on our currency. So, who's intolerant?

No. A belief in denial is not the same thing as a lack of belief.

We are not the one who is denying that we die at the end of our life. Were not the ones who have to make up an invisible man, living in the sky because we are so afraid of death. We do not deny valid claims made by historians, scientist, anthropologist, and socioligist. That would be you who is in denial.

It always fun watching the intolerant atheists throw a fit a God's Word....
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ....false accusers,....fierce,despisers of them that are good,....traitors, ,....lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,.......ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of Truth".( II Tim. 3:1-7)

Sure, you can think of it that way if you like. In the meantime, we'll just think of Christians as 'atheists with one god left to shed.'

no, we dont believe therefor we're not believers in denial.
we would be if the only religion was christianity, and therefor everyone was a 'believer' and we were outcasts of society. however thats not gunna happen because most of the smartest minds of the world are atheists.
