I have been cramping up horribly!!! I am 21 and have never had cramps before but the last 3 days have been terrible! I wake up in the middle of the night crying because I am in tons of pain. I don't think they are period cramps but I don't know! Anyone have any ideas on what to do to help relieve these cramps?

Please go to the ER, honey, this is not normal. Several problems have the same symptoms you are describing. I don't want to scare you, but it could be serious and it never hurts to have it checked out. It could actually be cramping issues, and if that is the case the doctor can perscribe medication for PMDD (Pre Mentsrual Disfunction Disorder) or just regular pain relievers.

For anyone else with cramps, fill an old sock halfway full with long grain rice and sew up the top. Stick it in the microwave for 30-60 seconds and you will be in heaven! It is also great for warming up cold toes in the bottom of the bed, or just relieving any other pains.

If it isn't period cramps you need to see a Dr. it may be your appendix and you don't want it to rupture. If it is period take 1 Tylenol and 1 Advil, store brand will do. Use a warm heat pad or hot water bottle on the tummy, light exercise.....it seems you'd know if it were period cramps though. if it's time and you are having this every night it's not normal, maybe an ectopic pregnancy? Is this possible? Are you eating and drinking enough? This will cause you great pain....your call really.

Buy a heat patch from your local supermarket and sit it against the area that hurts. Also, drink lots of water and try to eat lightly during your period, this will help to soothe the cramping a little bit.

I'm sorry to hear how much pain you are in and I'm sure you have tried everything but nothing is working thats why I suggest you go to the ER it just sounds odd that you would be in that much pain for that many days.
