In the past month My best female friend of 12 years and I have been getting closer together then we have ever been before. We both admit that we have thought about being together for many years but never thought that there was a chance. Then the other night we had our first kiss and it was great. Do you think that it could work out? Should you try to avoid these situations all together?

I say definetly...when i meet someone i like to lay a good foundation with them first to ensure the fact that i have enough trust in them to take the relationship to another level (romatically and more intimate) that is, if you aren't already. Dating your best friend will be so much easier than dating someone right off the bat because you know that what you have is genuine. Some people are best friends, and as time goes on they realize those feelings might change so...i say go for it!

This could definitely work! The best lovers are friends first. But you both need to sit down and have a long talk about where you'd like things to go, and make a promise to each other that you'll always be friends, even if things don't work out. And you definitely want to take it kinda slow. Good luck to the both of you!

I wish my situation is similar to yours. I thought we were getting closer and I confessed and what did I get? Nothing and I think he just started with someone else! I don't know if we are best friend anymore because I don't really want to be around him anymore. At your point, I'll say why not, give it a try, you already had a good start, maybe it'll lead you two somewhere more wonderful. Best of luck!

People like you who a very good bond with a friend should date them because you know each other for so long. I don't think that you should try to avoid this situation because it is a great chance to have!! Go for it! Hope this helps****

My ex-wife and I were best friends for many years prior to us getting married, we fought all of the time and finally divorced, now we don't speak to each other.

This is a tough decision for you to make, take your time and sit down with her and talk things out.

NOO WAYY. You and this girl have been friends, which means it gave you a chance to become her friend first and get to know her. I think it could definitly work if you guys kissed and you felt something. (like a spark)

i guess if both of you feel the same way then go for it, but remember that some failed romantic relationships sometimes ruine friendships... good luck!
