It hurts when i swallow or put pressure on it, any idea what it could be? its nothign like a canker/cold sore, its just a painful lump.

My Mom had the same thing. It was a cyst. You need to go to the doctor or dentist. You probably only have a cyst, but you need to have it checked. It could be a tumor which would need to be removed(not trying to scare you, probably just a cyst.) Don't ignore it. It could cause more problems, like a massive infection. If it is a cyst it's pretty easy to get rid of.

Could be a swollen tonsil? An infected palate?

Check with your doc / dentist to find out if its infected, you may need to take antibiotics afterwards.

...Or it could just be a simple blister (does it sting when you swallow?) that goes away in 2-3 days (Remedy: gargle lukewarm salt-water morning and before going to bed).

It could just be sore if youve ate something hot or spicy. I would gargle with salt water and if its still there in a couple days go to a doctor.

like a blister i get them somethimes on the side of my mouth it shold go away in about 1-2 weeks . if not think about who u been kissin =( sorry it could be an std of some sort!
