i am shy around the guy i like once i Really start to like him.. it's like i go through these phases, that i can talk to Any guy when i am just friends with them, but then once they start to like me or i like them i clam up and get really shy, because my mind just goes blank and i don't want to say anything stupid.. and then once i start to get really close to them i start to open up and be myself. but it takes me awhile, and i've only gotten to that last point once, and as soon as i was getting there he had already found another girl and didn't want to wait for me i guess even though he really liked me. so now i'm back to point A.. but will i ever get a boyfriend who will take the time to get to know ME? do any of you guys like shy girls??

I love shy girls.
Much preferred over outgoing/too extroverted.
I am always more interested in someone shy than outgoing.
...and they're almost always, the cute, honest, intelligent girls that are the best keepers (great prospects for a very long term relationship or more).

I'm exactly the same way, but I'm a guy. I like shy girls, and some other guys do to. But many regard the shy ones as being easy because they see them as lonely. You need to make conversation before the guy gets away from you. What you've got to do is to plan some conversation topics before you fall asleep at night. Maybe you'll need to write them down, but you need to remember them. In the morning, go over them in your mind so you'll remember them when the time comes to talk to him. When you see him that day, bring up those conversation topics. Even if you don't talk to him that day, you can use them the next day. Oh yeah, you'll need to have around 5 - 10 topics, just in case some of them don't spark his interest or don't go anywhere.

yeah shy girls are cool... to me their actually easier to talk to. Your shyness is easy to overcome though. Try to use humor when your mind goes blank. Don't worry about that last guy, there are a lot of guys out there that will want to take the time to meet you. You just have to have patience and don't let your shyness get to you. I am the same way. I can not talk to girls. Unless they are my friends. Right now I really like this girl, yet I do not have the guts to tell her how I feel. I am starting to get the confidence to ask her out. Tomorrow I might ask her out. In your situation, just be yourself. I have never had a girlfriend. I know I will go out with a girl one day. That goes the same for you.

im the pretty similar to u in the sense that im shy around girls i like (not around ones i dont like) until i get to know them and thats when i open up. the one problem u have is...u open up to late to a person, try to do it quicker by initiating conversation more. don't be so self-conscious even though i know it sounds impossible. i am like you so i can relate. i personally like shy, but not too shy, girls. i like to chase after them (not physically) for a little while like they are a prize that i want. i may sound shallow but thats how the mind works. but keep in mind, that shyness/boring line is verrrrry thin. its better to open up before the line rather than after the line. if u cross that line, u've lost ur man (that is what happened to u earlier with that other man).

I like a shy girl because it gives me a challenge to get to know her and closer to her. But you do have to open up a little and let him know that you do like him a little and you are always like that its not that you are ignoring him or anything.
