Is there a scripture in the Bible that supports that?

1 Corinthians 13:12 "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known". When Christ returns, we will see God face to face and know Him directly just as we are now known by Him.

I often ask questions like that. A friend of mine once said to me, "if people suddenly discovered that God definitly existed then they would all panic and be in a frenzy to make right all the things they had ever done wrong. On the flip side, if people discovered that in the end, there was nothing ... a void, they would feel the same panic. He had a beautiful way of explaining to me why he believed that God did exist. It was a pyramid. I'm sad that I don't have access to him anymore to have him explain it to me again. I remember in the end, it made sense to me. I also know as a child, my own father spent his life, a very short one, looking for the same answers to the same question. In the end after endless hours of reading and inviting all religions into our home to visit with, he came to the conclusion that God definitly existed. It took him most of his life to work it out. He passed away at 45 years of age. He was a great man and incredibly intelligent. Also, a very loving and very giving man. I trust in his ability to come to a good decision. I have this little part of me that's always a little scared, always looking for the definite answer, yet still feeling strongly that God is really there. Will you see him ... I don't think we get the definite answer. We have to come to the conclusion ourselves, regardless of what anyone else thinks over time. In my life there are things that have happened that make me believe, but I feel I will have that little fear inside of me of "what if he's not there" even still. Yet, even as I write this, something happened that makes me smile and suspect that he's there. Live your life well and keep searching. Your on the right path. Best wishes to you.

Do you "know" what you are looking at? Can you find heaven? If you die and try to see then you will not find. But if you can see heaven before you die then you might see God face to face!

It all depends on how much you believe in God and feed the hungry, clothe the naked, do good deeds, live humbly, and avoid gossip, drinking, smoking and other addictions. you must be a Christian and really believe and study the bible daily so He can live in your innermost being. Your soul.

I've actually wondered this myself. On the one hand, I like to think God is up there, hanging out with all of us, you know, being all Godly, but approachable.

On the other hand, however, I have this image in my head where, if you actually see God face to face (or, if you rather, Spirit to spirit) that your eyes will melt.

I dunno... Maybe I'm just weird.
