If you have a boil, you have to be really careful about infection.
There is a staph infection called MRSA (methicillian resistant staph aurious) no matter what you do unless treated it will come back, on other parts of your body as well.
This type of staph is very contagious if people are using the same towel as you, sleep with you, you can spread it.
This staph colonizes in your nose, so you need to kill it there with a special ointment or you will never get rid of it. You would also need two antibiotics.
So it may look like its going away or getting better, but it will show up somewhere else (in places you don't want them)
Trust me in this, I see it everyday. People think they have a spider bite but it is really MRSA.
Your boil needs to be cultured to see what kind of staph it is!
Good Luck!

There are often times when a boil will go away on its own without any treatment at all. But there are times when your doctor will need to open up the boil to let the pus drain out. He may also need to treat the boil with antibiotics to keep it from becoming more infected and start to spread to other parts of your skin. During this time you must keep your skin clean. Warm soaks will help and will also help to relive any pain that you may have. A heating pad will also help to relive pain, do not pick at the boil at all for it could become worse. You need to call your doctor right away if you get a high fever, chills, or flu like symptoms, or is the boils start to spread to other parts of your body.

It could be a boil, especially if it is in your lower back or tail bone region. Is it hot to touch? I would advise you to go to a doctor. Some boils need to be treated not only by antibiotics but also "surgically". This involves simple, local anesthetic and lancing the boil open. This not only lets pus out but also allows the doctor to remove a "core" which could cause the boil to come back if not removed. Good luck!

From your description, it sounds like you did in fact develop a boil. Go to your doctor. Boils, carbuncles, etal have to be lacerated and drained. These days, the docs will (on many occasions) put a miniscule little drain type device in it (after they've drained it manually) to keep the boil/carbuncle from closing up on the top (as skin always does) and allow the draining process to continue. After it's lacerated they put a dressing (gauze covering usually) to keep it covered but able to drain. Antibiotics (either oral or topical) are also usually prescribed. Upon a follow up visit to the doc, they then usually check to insure no infection has started again and then remove their little drain type device and your skin heals over no problems. Hope that helps.

You get rid of it by going to see your doctor. It needs to be cultured to be sure it isn't MRSA and at this point you almost certainly need an antibiotic.

Do not prick or take out the puss. Let it rapture by itself. Take Amoxicillin 500 to rapture it. Let the puss out by itself. If yuo touch it, it will leave a "new black scar" in your skin. If you press it, it will leave a shape in yuor skin. try to press your thum in a mud, that how it will look like.
