How to decorate a bar?

I am building a bar in the basement, and I have currently finished the frame of it. Besides the countertop, how do I decorate the sides of the bar?

paneling for the sides
sink/faucet in the bar ( called a wet bar)
shelves inside the bar area
laminate the top of the bar with chosen colors

You don't indicate what color or wood stain your bar is... I like the look of beadboard with a brass rail for feet.
