If you got them all at the same pharmacy, they have already checked for you and would've told you.

There are many, many websites to check drug interactions. Check www.drugs.com.

ambien and ativan work about the same way, ambien is not a benzo, but a closely related med. If you are taking ativan, I can't see what you would need the ambien for. you are overmedicating yourself. what happens when you take sleeping pills is you get hooked on them, and after a week or so, they don't help anymore. People just BELIEVE that they are still helping and they will swear up and down that the pills are helping, but the research shows otherwise. There are medical studies on this, go to some sites on sleeping problems and you will learn about that. Withdrawal is terrible and you will have even worse insomnia. In general, benzos (ativan) and ambien are a bad deal. they cause amnesia, dependency, and can cause serious behavioral side-effects. I had trouble with benzos and ambien, then did the research.

If you still want to take the pills together, you should call a pharmacist. Oh, one more thing, benzos and probably ambien too, cause depression all on their own, so you aren't helping matters going that route. Look at some insomnia websites and get help there.
