I think it's still like that because even though your head has forgiven, your heart has not. I've been through a dishonest husband and a cheating boyfriend. With both of them, I thought I had forgiven them, but I never really did or could. Deep down inside I never fully trusted either one of them again.

as much as you say that you forgive him.. it is obviously Still an issue and is bugging you. something like cheating on someone though is a REALLY hard thing to get over. and definitely takes time. you think about it when he touches you and stuff.. because all you can think about is how he did THAT to Some Other Girl when he was with you. that's why it's still like that.. because of what you know, and you have a conscience. you can't Just Forget something like that. because it will always be there in the back of your head, and you need to evaluate whether or not you can deal with that and handle it.. and not get the full experience and full exhilaration you need because HE messed it up and ruined it because of some other girl. and just be careful, because if he could cheat on you once, he can easily do it again.. once a cheater, Always a cheater.

It's like that because you never really get over it. It's something that will always be in the back of your mind. If there's one thing I've learned in my life it's once a cheater always a cheater. If he did it once, who's to say he won't do it again. If you really want things to work out and he is serious about not cheating on you again, you might want to consider some kind of couples counseling so you can get all these thoughts and feelings out into the open. Keep your head held high and your standards even higher.

It can take a very long time to recover after someone has been wronged like that.
Chances are there will always be the occasional thought about how he cheated on you when you start to do things of a sexual nature. It will continue to reduce in occurance though, unless something triggers your memory of it.
Perhaps these occasional thoughts were triggered earlier by something like a TV show, or movie.

Your boyfriend broke trust with you and that is why. My wife did that when we where dating and I forgave her. But for some reason it was always in the back of my head. Well 10 years later guess what? Yep she just left me for a guy at her work. Now I have two boy to raise. I guess the saying once a cheater always a cheater holds true-good luck

listen humans are animals, we are not designed to have sex with a single individual, that is why you should not have a boyfriend, you will never get hurt, if you are seeking a partner for intimate comfort, buy one.
