You can't spot reduce; you need to reduce your overall body fat.
There is no magic weight-loss pill, supplement, fad diet, or juice. The ONLY way to lose weight is to consume less calories than you burn. Brad Pitt didn’t get cut for Fight Club by drinking green tea, and you won’t either.
Walk for 30 minutes every day including weekends, Mondays, and Fridays. Do at least 30 minutes of weight training each week. Do 60 minutes of additional, higher intensity cardio each week. You don’t need additional equipment—infomercial products like the Ab Lounger, Sauna Belt, etc. are all worthless so don’t waste your money.
Cut back on the foods you eat with high fat and high sugar content. Eat only single servings (read the label) with less than 3 grams trans fat and 3 grams sugars. Your primary source of sustenance should be grilled boneless skinless chicken breasts and canned tuna (in water, not oil). No dairy (except low fat cottage cheese occasionally); no processed meats; no heavy sauces; no chips, cookies, sodas, breads, etc.
Eat breakfast, and eat five small meals per day instead of three big meals. Don’t starve yourself during the day, but if you don't wake up famished, then you ate too much the day before. Stop eating at least two hours before you go to bed.
Get 6 to 8 hours of sleep every night. Turn off the TV and the computer. Sleep is vitally important.
Don't consume alcohol—alcohol is nothing more than empty calories with no nutritional value. Some people will argue that alcohol has some health benefits when consumed in moderation—I’m not debating that—but we’re talking about weight loss here. Lay off the booze if you want to lose the fat.
Drink lots of water, then drink more. Not tea, not Gatorade, not milk. Water. If your urine isn’t almost clear, you need to drink more water.
Good luck.

a 1000 calorie diet may work for a month but if you have the least amount of food over that later, it will stick to you.
bump up your calories to 1500 at least and then add exercise to burn the excess.
It's always better to eat moderately and exercise more, than to reduce your calories and exercise a little.
Also, for your information, at 13 years old, you are going to be sorely disappointed that you will not maintain your weight loss unless you do eat enough. Your body is still growing and will continue to grow until you are about 18.
Also, if you are naturally bigger in the hip, butt and thigh, good luck trying to get into a size 0. I have never seen anyone wear a size 0 that was taller than 5 feet.
PS Hollywood actresses and models LIE about their weight, height, age and dress size. Believe it. If an actress says she is a six, then she's probably an 8. If a 6' model says she weighs 112, she really weighs more like 130. I know this to be true.

try going on the stationary bike. start with a level five and go for 1 hour a day, then after about a week go to level 8. and just so you know, you actually have to eat to be able to lose weight or your body starts saving up all the calories and keeps you from losing weight. and your friend is probably one of those people with a super fast metabolism. all my friends are size 0s at Abercrombie and Fitch and i'm 15 its just the way some people are.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

You don't have the right attitude. If your friend is a size zero (whatever that means?) you should let her be. You want to be a stick? What does that say about you? Be your own person and show some spine. Are you going to make yourself unhappy and possibly sick just to compete with a zero? Eat healthy foods, speed walk at the track or pedal on a stationary bike to tone and trim your thighs but for God's sake, don't starve yourself or do anything crazy just to be a nothing. Remember that it's not your size that will make people like you. It's in how confident you carry yourself and how you respect your body. Work on what's inside!!

Remember that diet is only half the solution. Its also important to excercise not only to increase your calories burned, but also to gain muscle mass as muscle helps you metabolize fat much quicker, therefore you dont have to diet so much. Try to focus on leg excercises like extensions or even squats will help with your thighs. Check out the cross-fit website, they have some of the best excercise programs around and its free. Try to keep repetitions high and weight low as your are too young to be pushing serious weight, you risk stunting growth of muscles and bones by going with too much weight during weight lifting.

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be
