zebra finch stories?

any funny or cute stories to convince my mom to let me get more zebra finch than the 2 i already have.

i make sure that they have fresh food and water every day and i change therir cave regurlary and i make sure whe i clean there cage i move around there toys (nesting material ect) but she thinks they will be to noisy.

i have 2 females

First, make sure you're doing 100% of their maintenance, then save up the money. Tell her you want to have babies and sell them. The pet store will buy them if they are healthy.

Well I have seven zebra finches at the moment chattering :) At first I had 2 (m &f) and they had two clutches later on. I would advise you to breed them instead of buying them. Here's an interesting story for you, when I first bought them (without asking mom) she was a bit cross with me :) she really did not like the be-beeping and always was a canary person. After the first clutch weaned and the second clutch were just out newborn, one day I saw my mom babytalking to them!!! and trying to see the little babies. After a while a comfronted(?) her with this and she now prepares little treats for them, and likes to talk with the smallest baby that hatched a week later than his brother and sister. Ofcourse they are out of the nest and have started to get their adult feathers now, thats how I can tell :) As she watches the babies trying to fly, trying to imitate the adults and trying to get some sleep in the food tray she will not mind the signalling all that much ;)
