yes, they can. Enfamil has vitamin drops for infants and toddlers. they have them at wal mart along with the Equate brand which is just as good. it MUST be a liquid vitamin not a chewable one meant for older children. the only problem is it can be hard to get them to drink it at first as it is totally nasty, but you can mix it in juice or milk if necessary. when we first gave it to my daughter, she hated it, but now she loves it, she got used to the taste i guess. i have noticed that it has helped in a big way on preventing sickness, as she used to get sick all the time, and now she still gets sick but not nearly as often.

No Way, many herbs can be toxic to children. Vitamins should be prescribed by a doctor if he/she feels they are necessary. Most of the children's vitamins over the counter are a dosage for 3yrs and up so you should not give without doctors advice since a child can also overdose on vitamins if it is not the correct dosage. You are better off giving pediasure milkshake. The are in the baby isle at the store and are Nutritionally balanced for children over the age of one. Either way consult doctor first, and never give natural herbs to a child.

ALL kids catch colds and viruses easy. And the answer is "no" unless your doctor instructs you to administer them. Vitamins/Herbs CAN be toxic. There have been deaths attributed to some herbs. Would you want that to be the fate of your child?

I would go to your local health co-op and ask them for some suggestions. I have given homeopathic remedies for earachs and probiotics to help stem off diarrhea from antibiotics. They are safe to give to infants, but a person with knowledge of these things should be helping you.

a one-year-old baby should be fine on just formula milk or breastmilk, it is only later on that he is being fed normal food and not drinking milk anymore, and only if you are concerned about his healthy eating habbits, then after consulting his doctor can give me liquid mulitvitemins, remember getting too much of vitemins is not good....
