I was a witness to an accident early last week. I reported it to 911, and a police officer has contacted me to write a statement to be sent via email. What information do I need to include, how formal does it need to be, and what is the best format to write it in (ie. full sentences, story-like, etc.)?

The no touch order could desire to no longer bypass away until eventually you bypass to court docket. you may't re-write a assertion style. you may ask to jot down an added assertion style... however the unique would be considered because of the fact the extra precise version. enjoyed ones violence is a comfortable subject at the instant. If the no touch order replace into tossed or expenditures dropped and then he harm you extra- police must be held in charge for no longer doing thier pastime. the nice and comfy button is that if he did injure you interior the combat he don't have touch with you or your little ones and he could desire to be charged and convicted. If he did no longer harm you you probable would not have talked approximately as 911.

You have to write in your statement exactly what you saw, and be truthful.Whatever you saw has to be implemented in the report. Everything must be in your own words. It doesn't have to be fancy and all that, just what you saw in your own words.

GOOD LUCK!!

Normally the police would take your statement on the scene, and then call you to read the report and have you sign it... I guess it all depends on where you live too!

You don't write the statement, the police officer who interviews you writes your statement, after which you read it, and sign it.
