Can I use the Windows XP upgrade disc more than on one computer?

No its a one time license. Those discs for XP upgrade for sale on the Net that have been used are USELESS. Microsoft licenses that XP to a specific computer and reads it thru ActiveX. part of windows system.

Your pc calls home to microsoft, they know if there is more than 1 instance of windows running from the same cd.... I tried that also, then windows said I have 30 days to enter a new cd key and gave me a phone number to call, so I uninstalled the other copy and called, got my new activation number and havent tried that since....

If you do not want to pay for an operating system, get UBUNTU or XUBUNTU. They are reliable and up to date. Once you have one of these installed, you gain access to thousands of free programs created by the open source community.

You can use the disk on more than one, but you need a separate license key for each.
