I'm 5'6", good looking and have a great personality. Now I have noticed alot of women initially go for the taller guys around 5"10 and taller. What is the reason for this other than they want the taller guy? It seems most dont even care for the shorter guy between 5'5" and 5'9" until they get to know the guy and then give him a chance...kind of like in my situation lol. Comments appreciated, thanks.

Apparently many of them do, because I'm 5'4" and can't get a date from a ca lander.
In fact, I've been turned down by women I never even asked out.

I don't generally look at a guys height, but because I'm almost 5'7'' and when I go out I wear heals I want the guy to feel comfortable. And I dated a guy shorter than me, if he was fine with asking me out then I knew it didn't bother him about his height. As long as the guy is cool with it and he's comfortable dating a taller girl then usually there's no problem. Maybe it's just the womans type of guy she likes, but if a woman likes you, she'll like you for you. Like you said you have a great personality, I'm sure you'll find the right woman soon. I am 5'10 and when I was single I dated a few guys shorter than me. However, I must admit I was always a little uncomfortable with guys shorter than me or even the same height. It was not because I did not find them attractive. It was just because I felt like a giant beside them. Especially if I was wearing heels. Maybe part of the problem was just my self esteem.

I'm 5', if I look for someone my height or shorter I'd be arrested for soliciting a minor. Most guys my height are usually 9 - 10 years old. I empathize and I'm sure you're a great guy.

I prefer a man taller than my self. That is not a difficult criteria to meet. I am only 5.3. So if a man is shorter than me, I do not want to date him. No way! Anything from 5.5 and up is good for me. I like men short, tall, bald, with hair etc. I just love men. And their height is not a determining factor, it has more to do with character, values, integrity and morals. Are they in line with mine? That is the important question. I makes sense for them to look for someone taller than them, or at least the same height
it would be awkward for a girl to be with a guy that she towers over

im 5'6'' 3/4 and i usually look for tall guys. but the guy im dating is like .. 5'6'' and 2/4? i still went for him cause his hair made him look taller. but i fell in love with his personailtyyy, so it didnt matter.

properly in my view, i do in contrast to having to look down on the guy i'm courting. it fairly isn't any longer relaxing. Plus, it makes us experience unfeminine! i'm 5'9". I even have dated adult men who have been shorter than me and issues basically didnt artwork out. yet i could be mendacity if I stated it did no longer consequence me. I afflicted me alot.

Dont worry about it..... someone will come along and surprise you and she will be a bomb....... continue to be yourself.... I dont know why girls go for the taller guys.. i didn't ..... I went for the fun ones with good morals and a great personality......

i'm 6 foot 3 myself, i tend to go for the shorter girls,
It'll make them look cuter and they think that a tall basketball player or football player dude will look good on them.
