Yes, but it depends on how it's decorated. I think it looks nice with black and white.

An Asian theme would suit it.

It really depends, but generally speaking...less is more when it comes to RED.
One of the many facets of my career as a Real Estate Investor is Interior Design.
I just recently completed an entire home redesign of a Police officer/bachelor who thought his entirely red painted Master bedroom was awesome....but honestly it was horrendous !!!
His theme was Asian, but his walls reminded me of a murder scene.
I primed out the entire room...brought back 1 red accent wall for Contrast against his bed...and the other three walls got a nice soothing Asian inspired Baby Sea Turtle. The Accent pieces were Black Lacquer and the bedding all tied the look together...resulting in a sophisticated, relaxing, sexy feel.

Yes. In fact it is in style. How it looks may depend on how you coordinate your decor with the red walls. An asian theme would be perfect for your red room!

I was too chicken to go all red in one room. We painted the walls a mellow butter cream and the HUGE crown molding was done in a colonial red. It took a while for the shock to wear off but we like it. And the bed room we did grey walls with a vivid velvet red bedcover and red brocade drapes. Very dramatic. In my opinion. A little goes a long way. Ya got guts! Go for it. I would be careful in my experience it's a bugger to try and match reds later on. There are sooooo many shades.

Red is very popular, but what room are you considering it for?

It's good for a study, library, dining, powder bath...
Red is a warm color and it will make the room look smaller.
Red is also romantic and fiery, for some people it's a negative color...hence the sayings..
"we are in the red on our accounts"
"I'm so angry I'm seeing red!"
"I'm gonna spank your butt until it's red!"

It's definately a good color for an asian or oriental theme, red, black, gold is all good for that theme.

depends what kind of red, the size of the room.
I think it is too much, start with an accent wall and add red tones in accessories.
