It is possible to get Vicodin through the mail utilizing pharmacies that are less than 100% trustworthy. You will likely be dealing with a pharmacy that is located offshore and the pills would come from another country. There is a substantial chance that you will get pills that are past their expiration date, or a different strength, or, still worse yet - your medication could be seized by U.S. Customs and you could face criminal charges for possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription. You used to be able to order on the internet from places in the USA but they were shut down by the DEA in 2004.
The reason the doctors are denying your requests for Vicodin has nothing to do with "lessening up on prescribing narcotics," and it has everything to do with the fact that you are displaying classic drug-seeking behavior. Signs of this are non-compliance with treatment regime (ie, physical therapy) and insistence upon narcotics. Find a doctor you like and trust and work with them. If they think that narcotics are an appropriate treatment for you, then they will eventually prescribe them. But what you are doing right now is called "doctor shopping" and you can go to jail for it.

I think the prudent thing to do is seek a better doctor at a pain clinic. Even consider a methadone clinic. (yes.. methadone is an opiate also.. and it can be used with chronic pain). Too much vicodin is a real problem because 1) The tylenol part of it is awful for your liver, 2) the vicoden 'wears out' too quickly, allowing pain to return. (It's a lot easier to keep pain down than to get it down over and over again).
Good pain relief is good medicine, keep hunting for a doctor who understands that, and do consider pain clinics and methadone clinics. Recently one of the larger mail-order pharmacies was busted for selling fake junk. Basically, they took some cheap psych meds (haldol) and ground it up to look like pain relievers.
Best of luck.
Added note: Someone made a comment about Doctor Shopping. They are right! There is a very big difference in intention. If you go to a pain specialist and TELL THEM "I have been to Drs. X, Y, and Z" then you avoid the specter of Doctor Shopping, which is dangerous and illegal. Just be honest about what is going on. Weather this is addiction, or medical dependence due to chronic pain, there is plenty of medical help available.

Sorry, but I'm gonna be straight up with you and read between the lines here. I'm sure you are in a lot of pain but even more than that it sounds like you are dealing a nasty Vicoden addiction. The reason you are having problems obtaining pain meds IS because you have switched docs so many times and are most likely flagged as a drug seeker. As far as getting Vicoden through the mail, you may actually obtain some but it will most likely be hand delivered to you by a not so friendly DEA agent with hand cuffs. This may not be what you want to hear but I'm just letting you know.

If you are having muscle pain, maybe you should be trying a muscle relaxant instead. Have you tried a Pain Management clinic? Prolonged use of narcotics can make you "supersensitive" - at some point your nerve endings are so sensitive, the slightest thing can cause extreme pain. Vicodin is addictive and it concerns me that you are at this point. You may even have fibromyalgia and that is not normally treated with narcotics. Physical therapy takes a long time to work and can be frustrating, so try a Pain Management clinic before giving up hope and relying on narcotics. Good luck to you!

It is still possible to get controlled drugs via the mail...but it takes time, paperwork and 5 to 8 time what it costs using a local MD and pharmacy. The few mail order type pharmacies that still list Vicodin as being available are closely watched by the DEA. They will require you to mail or fax in copies of your medical record that already gives the diagnosis for which the Vicodin will be used...so if your doctor indicate that your condition doesn't require it...forget it. Then you'll need a prescription. The mail in pharmacy may have a doctor that will write a prescription if indicated but that will cost you.
I just pulled one on line site that uses US doctors and pharmacies and here is what it said....
-Must have medical records faxed
-Their doctor must review and consult....fee $125
- Hydrocodone 5mg #30....price $41.00
- 2 day UPS.......$18.00
So for 30 pills it will cost you $184.00 with no refills.
I used Vicodin for migraines on occasion. I pay $45 for the MD office visit and he prescribed Vicodin ES (10mg) 90-120 with one refill depending if I am going to be out of town and the Rx costs me $50. So less that $100. But then I have a well documented history of migraines and have seen my doctor for a very long time.
It is a lot cheaper to find a local doctor and pharmacy. If you use the online option just be sure do everything legally. The DEA and Postal Inspectors are real hard nosedand they should be.

You still have to have a prescription for Vicodin. The only places that will legitimately send you the drug are the mail-in pharmacies and they need a prescription.
Vicodin is a "controlled substance" and there is a reason for that. You should try to get off it.
Narcotics do not help the cause of pain, they just mask the pain and sooner or later you become addicted, as you obviously are. Shopping for doctors is not good, eventually they will get on to you and you will not be able to see anyone before you've detoxed.

You cannot get prescritption drugs in the mail. It is illegal and if you get caught with drugs without a prescription you could get in trouble. You don't seem to want to stick with any one doc or try physical therapy for any length of time to really see if it works or not. Find one orthopedic doc and stick with that doc until you find out what is going on. In the meantime see a pain management doc too and get their input on this.
