ok my brother is three and 2 day while we were eating he was blowing on a candle and i told him to stop n he told me he likes playing with fire. do u think he knew what he said ? what do i do? is it time to have a fire safety talk with him? help please!!!!

Yes, it's a good idea to talk to your brother or suggest to your parents that they do, really. A couple good ideas would be to get him to watch the Elmo fire safety video - Elmo Visits the Firehouse, or other fire safety videos and books. You may also want to suggest to your parents that they may want to take your little brother to the firehouse so a real fireman can talk to your little brother.

First off, you really need to explain to him that FIRE HURTS. That's really, really important. Then take the time to grab him and sit him on your lap and have a nice little internet talk. Show him firetrucks, and actual fires, and everything. With kids these days, if you bring them to the technology and show them first hand what could happen, and how to prevent it, it will have more of an impact. GOOD LUCK!

Oh yes its time!! I have a son who likes fire too!! I have had many talks with him! I even called the fire dept. and had them come out and talk to him. It really has helped!
