what shampoo should i use to prevent oily/greasy hair?

My hair gets really oily easily so I have to wash it everyday--however, washing it everyday is really doing damage to my hair so is there a shampoo that is VERY effective in preventing oily hair so maybe I can wash it every other night instead?

ok this was my problem as well, i found out that pantene made my hair very oily, its a good shampoo, but makes my hair too oily. everyones hair is different, but i tend to switch a lot now, so i can wash my hair every other day...so i use dove, garnier fructis and thermasilk...now im very happy with my hair now and its not oily!

I have oily hair as well, I only wash my hair every second day or my hair drys out. I use Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner. (Classic Care or Volume kind). I make sure I don't overdo on the conditioner though. If you use too much it makes your hair really oily I find. A dime size should be good enough.

you can wash it everyday..provided you moisturize correctly.
use: MOP Glisten shampoo and conditioner.
gentle for everyday use..it will moisturize and will not make your hair oily...even though it says for dry ..colored hair..it isn't.
