He might be shy and standoffish (maybe not a real word), but he should be playful and attentive to you. If not, then ask, what have to got to lose? Pride, can get that back. Just go for it, sometimes guys like girls that are assertive and aggressive at times, just not all the time.

I'm not a guy but I know. They talk to you alot (if they are not SHY!!!) flirt, hug you, and compliment you everyday or try to talk to you every time they can!
