Aspirin is used in dogs, especially labs with hip problems. BUT NOT WITHOUT A VET'S SUPERVISION. You have named two reasons to take your dog to the vet. Do it tomorrow.

You can give your 9 year old lab 1 or 2 aspirin 2 x's daily. You can not give Motrin, Advil, Tylenol, Aleve, etc. All these drugs can damage his liver and/or cause an ulcer in his stomach. It's better to give the aspirin on a full stomach and it also better to give coated aspirin. You vet has a large variety of pain pills for dogs just like yours which could be more effective. It sounds like he needs to be checked for that open wound on his leg. I hope this helps.

You should really take that poor baby to the vet!! I am allowed to give my dog 80mg of baby aspirin once a day for three days - do not exceed three days (she is 50LBS) it would go by weight so I can't tell you how much to give to your Lab. It might take the edge off but he bite a wound which could get infected and will need some serious medical attention. Please take him to the vet!!!!
Also Omega 3 helps with the inflamation but again I can't tell u how much to administer because I don't know the weight of your dog.

Asprin will upset your dogs stomach very badly. Call the vet in the morning and tell him or her of your concerns. You'll need to get him in to have the wound looked at anyway.
I'd play it safe and not give him any human medicines until you get the ok from the vets.

I give my 9 year old Rotty children's coated asprin everyday for his arthritis. He gets 150mg a day, wrapped in cheese. My dog weighs about 120lbs though. I also give him glucosomine daily, which my vet suggested. Ever since we began giving him the pills, he has been much more active.

Dogs can have baby asprin. However, make sure that your dog has arthritis and not something more serious that requires medical attention. We give our elderly terrier one baby asprin a day for his arthritis and it really does help him.

Stop medicating her and get her to a vet asap. This isn't even the same leg, and you have no idea what's wrong with her. Were you assuming the aspirin would just make it go away? She's in a lot of pain, I'd think, and the vet needs to check it.

baby aspirin is harmless but do take him to your vet to get a stronger painkiller. Poor baby! He's hurting. Give him a kiss for me.
