Yes, Migraine headaches are the type that cause nausea. A migraine is usually on one side of the head, you have sensitivity to light and noise, and you feel nausea and sometimes vomit. If you have any of those symptoms, make an appt with your doc to get some medication. Other types of headaches can also cause nausea, but that is more rare. Try an over the counter medication for migraine and see if it helps. You could also have a flu bug or some other illness that requires you to see your doc, so be mindful of your symptoms and let him know. Hope you feel better soon!

well, I don't know if it is so much the headaches themselves or the symptom of pain, but I almost always feal nausia when I have a migrain coming on or if I've had a very stuborn tention headach.

most of the times severe headaches do result in nausea and throwing up to relieve the pain..

Yes they can. Severe migraines can also cause speech slurring temp. paralysis, My son had one so bad the first time we rushed him to the ER thinking he may of had a stroke. It was terrifying.
