Me I like to prevent the reasons that cause a girl to cry.
That's Petty ironic because the tears I have wiped were mostly caused by ending of the relationship luckily I'm married know.
But their is something erotically intimate in kissing a women tears and felling there wet hotness beneath my fingertips.

Perhaps it is symbolic. The wiping away of tears could represent a metaphor of the relenquishing of pain, or bringing light into the darkness, turning sorrow into delight, etc; etc.

Honestly, I don't understand the gesture. I would probably slap a guy's hand away if he tried it, I don't like anyone's hands near my eyes but my own.
