well my husbands b-day is coming up this week and we have plans for dinner with my in-laws well my brother in law is jealous of my child.My child crys and screams when he see's him. My husband still wants to go to dinner and for me to find a sitter. Come on I just can't dump my son, I feel my husband is selfish, should I cancel dinner?

Make sure your brother-in-law's jealosy is the only reason that your son screams and cries.
Depending on how old your son is, leaving him with a sitter isn't the worst thing in the world. You can also stay home if you want and let your husband go alone.

Sorry, but I think you should get a sitter. I don't think your husband brother is jealous. Sometimes adults need time alone and most children mishave during dinner or social outings which may offend your brotherin law. If there were more children going then yes it would be ok, but if it's just adults then get a sitter.

Maybe you could have a dinner at home. You can contact a catering company so that you are not the one cooking and cleaning up after. Maybe that would make your son a little more comfortable around your BIL and you won't need to hire a sitter.
