Sore throat is a minor wound in your throat and it is going to take time to heal, But there are things you can do to make it bearable..
1- Gargle with warm salt water
2- grate ginger root and squeeze juice, add one tsp of ginger juice to one tsp of honey...make a few tsp of this and take one tsp every 4-6 hours...do not eat or drink anything but warm water for best result. you can take this after meals and after snacks to feel the result for longer time. Store this juice in glass container with lid on it.
Also stay away form hot food , caffine, alchohol
this might help...good luck

Usually what I do is gargle hot salty water for like 5-10 minutes, it sonds kinda gross but it is very soothing and relieves my sore/raw throat.

gargle with warm salt water helps but doesn't cure it right away
it always take time to make a sore throat go away.

Gargling with the warm salt water, and try warm to hot mint tea with a lot of honey in it, that makes it feel soothed.

I have read that drinking pinapple juice helps, it has something to do with the enzymes in the fruit.
