I have a B.S. in phsyics and am interested in pursuing a brewing degree as an initial step in my dream of starting a microbrewery. If you have any experience taking brewing courses and obtaining a degree, I am interesting in hearing your antecdotes. I would prefer to stay in the USA.

Do you have a favorite microbrewery? If yes, dial them up and ask to interview the brew master. He or she should be able to give you some leads and give you the best "real world" advice.

I'll second UC Davis. Although i think 5 weeks of that course are spent in Germany. I fully intend on attending after my BS. I think Siebel Institute has a good program as well. Best of luck with your brewing adventures!

I do believe UC Davis is the best for Wine making, so I would think that it would have an entire department for all sorts of brewing and distilling.
