the headache is probably caused from the meds you are taking. you need to get the tooth pulled. people have died from abcessed teeth. typically, a person takes antibiotics for at least 5 days prior to pulling.

Once a tooth gets infected it is too late for just a filling, it will need a root canal and a crown or you will need to have it extracted. The antibiotics should start working within 24 to 48 hours, if not something is wrong, get to a dentist ASAP!! Once the infection is cleared up the tooth will have to be root canaled or extracted or the infection will come back.

I can tell you from a very recent personal experience. I went to my dentist about a month ago. He said that I needed two fillings. I went back 4 days later and had both of them filled. They were both on the same side of my mouth, just one was on top and one on bottom. He filled them and of course I was numb most of the afternoon into the night. He had prescribed pain pills which did not phase it, they just made me feel drunk. This was on a Tuesday. I dealt with the pain until Friday I just got mad! I was sick of my tooth killing me (luckily, it was only one of them) so I tried to call them. Naturally, it was Friday and they were closed. I called my family doctor and asked her to call me some different pain meds in just so that I could get through the weekend. She did. I had made up my mind that Monday morning I was calling them and he was going to pull it. I did not want to have a root canal. I called them and told them. They scheduled me an appointment for it to be extracted and the receptionist asked what pharmacy I used. I told her and she said that they were going to call me in some antibiotics. They did and later that day I was totally relieved!! I made sure that I finished them all and I have not had another problem at all as of yet. This was about 3 weeks ago. I cancelled my appointment to have my tooth pulled. So, to make a long story short, it is probably infected. Get yourself some antibiotics and start taking them immediately. This should definitely cure your problem. Good Luck. =)

Teeth problems often cause headaches- definitely go to the dentist ASAP- the longer you let a cavity or problem go, the more likely it leads to root canals, extraction, etc., which is not only bad for your teeth but also way more expensive than just getting a cavity filled.

I would go see your dentist. An abscessed tooth should improve withing a few days of antibiotics.

Altough te tooth is gone, your body is still fighting the infection which is why you are feeling ill. If the swelling has gone down it means the infection is starting to subside, so you should start feeling better soon hopefully!

I would be concerned and go to the dentist as soon as you can. You must have an infection that needs immediate attention.

You need to go to the dentist. And don't take more medicine than what the bottles tell you.
