Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.

Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.

The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

I wake up with a headache 99 mornings out of 100. The doctors have said it could be caused from anything from high blood pressure to a brain tumor. Apparently it can be caused by nothing at all cause they've checked my head every way possible and can't find anything wrong anywhere. I've tried all kinds of pain medicine prescription and OTC have had better relief from Excedrin than anything else. I buy the generic of Excedrin at Wilmar, two bottles at a time and never go anywhere without them. Be sure to read your package labels. I think the combination of medicine mixed with the caffeine is what makes it work so well.

I am a guy and have had this happen more than once. No,I don't drink alcohol, grind my teeth, have TMJ, not over weight, etc. I get migraines that come when they feel like it an last a long time unless I take the pain medicine prescribed. And even then they come back even after I take the medication...perhaps 5 hours later.

Tell your doctor. Head aches in the morning don't sound right.

Not to be mean, but are you overweight, have asthma, etc??? It could be that you have sleep apnea!!! People with sleep apnea waken with headaches, because they basically STOP breathing hundreds of times during the night!!!! Do you also feel tired and sleepy during the day??? If so, i would suggest you see a doctor ASAP, and have them set up a "sleep study" to see if you may have sleep apnea!!! Sleep apnea is a very DANGEROUS, LIFE THREATENING condition!!!! But, the good news is, Sleep apnea can be treated by using a machine called a CPAP machine, which you use while sleeping.

You may be grinding your teeth while you sleep. Some people deal with stress that way. Unconsiously clenching or gringing your teeth can give you headaches. You may need to use a bite splint. Talk to your dentist or doctor.

Headaches can be tricky since can have many causes.

If this pattern has been yours for an uncomfortable while to you, seek medical attention for determination of cause and any aid available.
