I love giving pleasure and seeing the look of pure bliss on a mans face.....that look of love when they look into your eyes and you know that you have touched their very soul

I love to give to my husband, whether it's an unexpected squeeze of his hand or telling him how wonderful he is at something specific to give his ego a boost. Usually, when I give in these ways to my hubby, he gives back to me in the same way. It's wonderful because he responds back in sweet and loving ways too.

Sometimes, it takes a lot of work. Especially when he's had a rough day at work. He comes home with a bone to pick over something really insignificant. But... if I refuse to argue with him over something I know won't matter tomorrow and try to absorb his bad energy with sweet loving kindness, not only do I get a much happier husband, but the reward of knowing that I just made his day a lot better and easier. Because of my reaction to his bad mood he calms down and I just turned what could have been a horrible evening into a peaceful one. My husband, in turn, does the same for me. When you have a small baby that keeps you up all night and your sleep reserves are really low, patients is hard to come by... so, you can imagine how hostile I can get when I am not thinking clearly because of sleep deprivation. But, when these moments happen, my husband tries to tell jokes and lighten the mood, or absorb MY bad energy in some way. Because of these small reactions to bad situations our home is peaceful and happy. I love it!

We all have given when it's easy, but for me, I get the most reward when I give when it's not easy.

It just makes me feel good in side to know that I've done something that makes someone else feel good. Not so much a people pleaser, but I'm a very nice person, and I get a nice feeling inside when I give.

I think it's our maternal instinct: we love to know that we're doing something to help someone. It makes us feel like good people and boosts our self-esteem.
