I drink tons of water, am a very, very slow eater, and I'm pretty sure I don't eat too much food.

You are probably swallowing air when you eat. You may be gulping your food.
Try eating more slowly. Chew your food better, & take smaller bites.
Also, take a drink every few bites. This will help break the quick eating cycle.

You probably eat too fast or too much. Also, it could be an irritant in your throat or stomach. Try eating slower, or a bit less.

you might be eating too fast, or drinking too fast, to get rid of hiccups do this {don't swallow any saliva, or anything for a minute or two} cause this lubricates the bubble in your stomach.
