A few questions:
1. A person with natural red hair, can a person get highlights that look good?
2. Would it look good if a redhead changes the hair color to brown? is that too dramatic?

Yes they can - usually you would want to get lowlights, no blonde
second, its not too dramtic, just make sure you keep it a natural color, not purple brown.

Well, I'm a natural red head, (strawberry blonde) and I have died my hair sooo many colors. I'm 22, and have been doing it since I was about 17. To be honest... Brown was a bit much. I have short hair, but it just looked odd. If your a red-head like me, then you have fair skin, and everyone just told me it looked wierd.

When I died my hair I NEVER got the permanent one's(at the store) (only when they highligted it at the salon is when it was real... real expensive (ha!)), just because I wanted to always fall back on my red. It usually washes out in about 28 shampoo's, or about every 3 months (for me).

I've had blonde highlights (ok), pink highlights (ok), and blue highlights (ok). All of them turned out okay, and the pink in my mind was kick ***. lol.

I've dyed it darker red, lighter red, dark brown, auburn (best choice if you want a brown color, it always turned out brown/reddish), and even tried a blonde, which was a flop.. Everytime I died my hair, it turns out a bit red. It's that red-ness shining through. I died it dark brown one time, and everyone hated that.

Auburn (for dark) or blonde highlights is the best bet. Auburn is a mixture of red and brown.

Hope that helps!
