If i have a flight through canada with the trip ending in hawaii, will i need a passport to go through canada?

yup...so basically stops in canada or mexico that people made that didnt previously require a passport...is now changed...now u need one.
whenever i go to the post office in the mornings, the passport line is alot longer than before they enacted this rule.

Yes. New laws were recently passed regarding travel between the US and Canada and a passport is now required. Not sure how you will be affected if you are just passing through Canada, but if you have a passport it would be best to bring it since you will need to show this boarding the plane because technically you will be flying internationally. You may need this to prove your US citizenship to reenter the USA (if this is your country of origin).

The others are wrong here is a bit of information for you I gave you a link to help you better understand whatis going on and yes there are other links on the net that are about the subject but this is the most recent I have found but I do sugguest you talk to the nearest border patrol office. You can find one on the web jsut put in a major city in the yahoo yellow pages and put in border patrol and you should be able to find one.

Yes- the laws exclude cildren under 12 or some-Not quite sure on the age-children will need a birth certificate
