Yes you can he is your dependent as long as he is living off of you...But a better long term solution to this problem would be to have him grow up and leave the nest LOL. What you will get back claiming him after a year will be "peanuts" compared to what you are "shelling" out...

As long as you contribute at least half of his expenses and he hasn't earned over a specific amount ( I don't remember the amount, but it should be on the IRS website), you can claim him. You can also claim his kids if they lived with you for MORE than half the year and you contribute at least half of their expenses. I know this because when my husband and I separated and divorced and I moved back home with my son, my mother said that it was more important for me to be home with him and she supported us and was able to claim us both on her taxes.

yes you can because your a dependant for him. I think you will get like $300.oo
my sister is 35 , our brother is 32 also and he doesnt work or do anything but sit in his room and play world of warcraft o his computer and she got $300 for claiming him

I would go to H&R Block, you don't have to pay them if you don't like the results, so just go ask them all the questions and know for sure what you're doing. Better safe than sorry!!
