The easiest way it do go to Wal Mart and buy a rocket kit. They sell complete kits and engines.

There are also many web pages that you can order kits from.

My son made a little rocket from a card board tube attached some fins and a wire bracket to hold the engine. The cone was already made of balsa wood.

You;ll need a rubber band glued to the inside top of the card board tube and also attached to the cone. Then tied to the rubber band is a streamer to slow down as it falls back to earth.

You need to do a little research since I am not explaining it very well. The Estes web page will help.
