Yes!!!
Drinking water regularly keeps you from becoming dehydrated, first of all, which will keep you feeling all-around healthier than if you let yourself become dehydrated.
Drinking at LEAST 8 glasses (8 oz) of water a day will help stave off "hunger pangs" that are actually your body craving water.
Also, drinking water is better than juice because it's non-caloric (juice is packed with sugar and calories - even 100% fruit juice has lots of calories and a high naturally-occurring sugar content).
Water is better than soda because regular soda is full of "empty calories" (straight sugar, which is metabolized into "storage" or fat) and better than diet soda because the artificial sweeteners in diet soda actually cause your body to produce insulin, slowing your metabolism... even though diet sodas are "no-calorie", they make your body get fatter by causing your metabolism to go into "storage mode".
So, YES, drinking plenty of water will help you lose weight.

Well, I'm not so sure that it will make you lose weight, but it will fill you up and you won't be as hungry. I read that your body can sometimes confuse thirst with hunger. Besides, we need to drink at least 8 glasses of water anyway. I did have a diet prescribed by a gynecologist where aside from not eating all the stuff we know is bad for us, to drink 15 glasses of water. It was pretty hard to do, I have a tough time just drinking the 8 but I always lost the weight. Water is very good for you, drink up!

water helps dissolve fats, and simplifies the cleansing processes in tje body, so drinking about 2-3 l of water a day will not only help you lose weight, but also clean you up. however, drinking water by itself won't help lose a lot of weight...you should also exercise, try to maintain a diet, not a harsh one though, they don't really work, and if they do you put the lost weight back on very fast. just try to eat in a healthy manner.good luck to you :)
