nice! - I believe it was impossible for a DC Superhero to be Atheist thanks to the numerous appearances of their deities... sorry. Sherlock, however- you may have a point there.
Superman went to heaven and remembered it. (old death of superman series- I still have those somewhere....)

Okay, in return for the chuckle, I'll take a guess:
Re Batman: I think if Bruce Wayne had genuinely believed in the ability of a deity to put things right in Gotham City, then he never would have sunk a large piece of his fortune into building the Bat Cave and all those cool gadgets. He would simply have spent more time in church, on his knees.
Re Sherlock Holmes: I've read all the stories, many times, and I remember that whenever a clergyman or any devout believer appears in them, he's among the bad guys. Apart from that, though, it's impossible to picture a guy like old Sherlock giving any credence to the idea of an invisible Creator, when he is the living exemplar of the fact that with acute observation and rational thought, it's possible actually to figure things out!

I collect batman stuff and i have read tons of comic books and he is not an atheist. Bats is my favorite hero because he has no supernatural powers, hes not bullet proof and he uses his wealth for something greater than himself

Even Albert Einstein said, we must live our lives in one of two ways. As if nothing is a miracle or as if everything is a miracle.
The level of intelligence or education actually has little to do with out religious faith. There are numerous people with advanced degrees who are devout Christians.
