i own a repair shop, and if it did start and go in reverse that's a good sign, anyway, but if the oil pump did go out in it,id say its done some major damage to the inside of the engine,if you can have some one pull the oil pan off of it and check it,they can tell you how bad the damage might be on it,that would be the only thing at this point you can do other than just put it in a shop and say fix it,and that might be a bad idea ,right now,its possible the engine is shot in it,but id have it checked,i have saved a lot of engines that people thought was ruined,a good mechanic can look at it and tell you more about it ,i hope it turns out good for you.

drain the oil, drop the oil pan, take out 2 or 3 bolts out of the pump, take the %. up demonstrate off and sparkling it, positioned the %. up tube on the recent pump, positioned a sparkling gasket on the pump, fill the hollow area hollow contained in the pump with petroleum jelly so that you received,t have a dry start up up and installation the pump ! make positive the demonstrate lays flat to the bottom of the pan ! positioned the pan back on with a sparkling gasket, tighten the bolts yet don,t overtighten the bolts or you'll warp the pan, positioned the oil back in, start up it up and allow it idle for awhile to construct the oil stress up !
