I have this awesome math formula that is guaranteed to work every single time.

Pick a #.
Double it
Double it.
Add 12.
Divide by 2.
Subtract the # that you first thought of.
You always get the answer 6! Every single time!

Try 1 for example.
1 x 2=2
2+12=14
14/2=7
7-1=6

Try any numbers that you can think of and use the formula and you will always get the answer 6. I think that it is cool.

Ok, I pick -1 as my number.

-1
double it:-2
double it again: -4
add 12:8
divide by 2:4
Subtract -1: 5

Guaranteed huh? I want my 45 seconds back.

Oh you're not supposed to double twice.

Trying again with -1.

-1
-1*2 = -2
-2 + 12 = 10
10/2 =5
5 - -1 =6

That works better.

It works with imaginary numbers too.
