Autumn colors are great, but please remember that this is YOUR day. You will remember it forever. Make sure that you LOVE the colors that you pick.
Also, make sure those colors will look good for photos. When I got married, we went to a studio for a photo shoot. Some of the dresses my wife wore looked HOT on her, but really terrible in the photos. Luckily she tried on lots of dress and they took LOTS of photos.
You might want to bring a digital camera and snap some photos when you and your friends check out the dresses.
Congratulations, and happy dress shopping!

A deep burgundy-red. Like a beautiful glass of Merlot. It is a color which flatters anyone. It is also a color which stands out among regular fall colors and a white wedding gown will really stand out among them...plus dark red roses, with fall flowers such as chrysanthemums and perhaps some fall leaves would look amazing in a bridal bouquet. Put the men in classic black tuxes with red rose and orange fall leaf corsages to compete the look.
:-)
For a color example see the link below.

Depends on your idea, there can be darker colors for an October wedding, colors like dark oranges, dark greens. That would be nice colors for a fall wedding

Fall colors like red, orange, and yellow. Pumpkins everywhere and a scarecrow too. A farmland background for the senery. Maybe a black or white tects for the groom and a whitle dress for the bride. Or red tects with a white vest under the coat for the guys and red dress with a flower of their choose in there hair for the ladies. A daisy will look great in their hair. What you think?

I got married in october, and it was beautiful. I went with fall colors, deep red, and oranges. I think that they looked great with my white dress. My arrangements also had leaves in the them, as well as some kind of berry that is popular for fall, I don't remember what it is called.

I recently read a book that started with a wedding... the groom was a zombie-raiser, and the bride was a witch (Wiccan)... and their colors were orange and black. The bride's group wore these gosh-awful bright orange taffeta things, the groom's group wore nice normal black tuxedos.
I'd say pick whatever you want- you could go with fall harvest colors of orange, yellow and brown... you could go thematic and use the classic Halloween color scheme of orange, green and purple..
It's your wedding- do what you want.

It is YOUR wedding and no matter what the month or season, the colors should be what you like. If you want something related to Fall--look at mother nature in your geo area at that time. There will be lots of hints.

I'm getting married in October and we are having sage dresses with chocolate brown sashes. The bouquets are going to be warm fall colors (burgundy, gold, cream).
