If i want to go back to sleep, I masturbate and lay back down. If i don't want to go back to sleep, i play video games.

Yes, I have been having trouble staying asleep for some time now. I also do not want to bother my husband so I get out of bed and find something to do until I feel sleepy enough to go back to bed. I like to sit in the dark and think, I sometimes make a cup of herbal tea and at other times I shop around on line. The thing that seems to work the best for me is to go to sleep in the guest room, that way I do not worry about waking him if I toss and turn. If all else fails there are some meds that are not addictive and might help. Oh, and limit caffeine, that was a killer for me, Mt. Dew had to be eliminated from my diet. Good luck and sweet dreams.

I go to another room, read a book and it puts me to sleep. One morning my hubby found me sleeping on the same love-seat . But most of the time if I get sleepy from reading I go back to my bed and fall asleep.

Or I go to my computer and do search .... anything ... monotonous search and looking at the screen can put you to sleep too.

If it happens every day then I'd suggest using the time seriously - start a blog, read books you never had time to read, even some consulting business.

Try reading by low light. It's soothing and it works.
