First, when you color hair or make it darker, there is artificial pigment that attaches to your hair shaft and that is how your hair gets darker. When lightening your hair, the pigment is removed from the hair shaft. Therefore you cant wash it out, because there isnt anything there to wash out. You will have to get more dye. If you have a yellowish color you will need a color that is a blue base, like a beige color to counter act the yellow and neutralize it. It is also called toning the hair, when you want to get rid of unwanted undertones. Be careful though, If your hair is a pale yellow, then get a pale beige, if it is a medium yellow, then a medium beige...so on and so forth. Good Luck.

Okay, washing it wout with soap won't work, because you used PERMANENT hair color, and that is not JUST a color paint for hair, it actually chemically alters the color pigments of your hair.

But don't worry, I've suffered many hair color disasters before, and I know how to help you.

Instead of trying to get the hair color out, try going to a salon and try asking them what you should do, If you have money to get a hair coloring appointment there, then your hair will look georgeous, but if you don't, then just ask them thier advice and go to the grocery story and get new hair color, with the best of your instincts, the color that they suggested you dye over it. But reallly, I guarentee going to a salon and getting it done, or else by doing it yourself, you're taking the same risks that you did before when your hair turned out a total disaster.

Hope I helped!!!

If you want to tone it down until you can go to the store and get a more permanent solution. Brew some very strong coffee; let it cool and saturate your hair with it leave on for about 1/2 hour then rinse out. You can also use very strong tea. Try a test curl before you pour a whole pot on your hair.

Just try washing it a few times and that will help a some but until you can get to a salon or try again with a darker shade there isnt really anything you can do. I would strongly suggest going to a salon because coloring your hair two days in a row can really bad for your hair. They will know how to help you.

Once hair is lightened no amount of washing will make it go any darker, there are usually 800 numbers on the back of a hair color box, call the number and ask them when the soonest is that you can apply a darker color over it, because that is your only option.

Probably you'll need a temporary and gentle dye like a Cellophane.

You are going to need some other products. There are no home hair disaster remedies. Artec Color Deposit Shampoos and Conditioners can tone out the yellow. You can also have a hairdresser tone down the color. Lots of luck.

Call the helpline # on the box tomorrow--they will be closed on Sunday. Or call a salon and explain what you did and ask if they have a color specialist. You need professional help, dear, you cannot just wash it out. Next time, please do a strand test so you know in advance what color you'll be getting. The instructions will explain how. Don't neglect this important step.

oooops, you goofed....Your going to have to wait till tomorow..Wrap your head up when you go out and go to a salon and they will just put a toner on..that will fix it..Dont do it your self...Since it is yellow ish blonde they will put a toner on it that has a voilet base to tone it. If you dont like blonde they can match you with something there...Dont freak out it can be fixed... Easy...Have them use redkin Shades e Q toner and color. It wont damage your hair and is very glossy and soft... Its wonderful and will do the trick. Just bear it out for a night and call someone tomorow that uses Redkin...Good Luck..I been through many hair color nightmares...
