I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

A proper diet is the best way to lose weight naturally and keep it off. You have to eat a varied adequate and balanced diet. Your body needs all kinds of food to function properly including fat in smaller quantities though. Your body needs the nutrients and vitamins in fruits and vegetables the most, that is what you should eat the most of (at least 5 servings a day). You also need protein, and a little fat. Reduce your intake of sweets, fried food and foods that contain a lot of fat. Don't drink too many alcoholic beverages or soft drinks (they have a lot of calories). Don't go to sleep right after you eat. And finally exercise at least 3 to 4 days a week for about 45 minutes.Good luck. You can also get more information about nutrition from this site:

what exactly are you eating?

you need to get plenty of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains every day... make sure that your porition size is under control.. don't eat sweets. make one day a sweet day, where you can eat what you want. the other days, crack down on your food habits. get a food diary - www.self.com has an awesome program for those wanting to lose weight.

at the gym- you need to do more than just running or cardio, incorporate some weight lifting and strength training into your daily routine as well. work out 5 times a week. try pilates, tae bo, yoga, and kickboxing. if you keep track of all of these activities as well at self.com you will be able to drop weight in no time.

if this STILL isn't working... adopt a plan with weight watchers or jenny craig. a lot of times going to a professional and getting weighed in can help a lot.

remember this isn't just for merely looking good, you want to be healthy. heart disease, cholesterol, and all kinds of cancers can effect you when you're over weight.

goodluck!!! email me if you n eed any more help.

I did this diet called Suddenly Slim by a company called First Fitness. It's a 10 day diet but it guarantees you to lose 10lbs in 10days. I was very skeptical but everything is all natural. It's not chemical based. There is a 10day diet menu that you go by and I will tell you it was difficult the first 2 days but then It was alot better. After you finish your 10 days you can do the Forever Slim program which is like maintenance. You can visit the website at www.firstfitness.com. anyway i wish you luck with your journey! I guarantee this is not a gimmick just read up on it. it may give you the boost you are looking for.

Don't be scared of lifting weights.

One pound of muscle burns 50 extra calories a day.

You are doing too much cardio, if you do too much that can start to hold your fat loss back.

Lift weights twice a week and do 3 session of 20-30 minutes of cardio a week.

Your diet is key, I just challenge myself to go a whole day eating "clean" foods, then go for the next day, and next day.

Don't kill yourself if you cheat. Stay patient it'll come off.

patience is the game in dieting. keep doing what you're doing. you are in a time where you think your body is not doing anything. just stick with your plan that lost you all that pounds. and try not starving yourself because that's unhealthy and might make you worse. when you're hungry eat a little of something just to make those intestines happy. btw, don't eat a lot at night but do eat like a king for breakfast because that will give you energy for the whole day. just be patient.

Congratulations on losing 60 pounds!! Not many can boast that. Keep up the working out...don't get discouraged. I'd start a food log to see what your eating and subtract what you're burning. See the page below - it has calculators on how to figure that stuff out...set a goal...and a plan to keep going. Keep up the great work!

there's plenty of fad diets but don't use them. use common sense. eat every hour JUST A LITTLE and healthy foods like fruit and complex carbs. it'll boost your metabolism if you always eating & its healthy rather than eating 3 times a day and packin it all in
