No it does not have rabbies. While it is eating the foam is just saliva from it's mouth mixed with air (like you can blow air bubbles from your mouth with enough saliva from your mouth)that is all it is. The signs that an animal dog ,cat etc. has rabbies is and for most; mad at water(it bitting and snapping at it's water bowel and growling all the time) odd behavior and foaming for no reason. But to always be on the safe side get it it's shots!

Not necessarily, it could have gotten a frog or lizard and that makes them foam at the mouth. However if you have noticed a drastic change in behavior ie. aggressiveness where prior had not exhibited it I would take it to have it checked out. You should be current on rabies vaccine minimum, b/c it's a law to protect humans as well as the animal.

Its not its just your dog not coming up to eat he/she is faced down the whole time and is not swallowing all that is in his/her mouth is all its nothing to worry about. I found a few sites for you to help you better understand Rabies.

no. sometimes it proably just had some water after eating food. Fresh water and food are just as important as each other. special with dry dog food.

It's probably drool, but don't take any chances. Take it to the vet if possible, and watch out for behavioural changes like agressiveness and over-friendlyness.
