Firstly, Pit Bulls ARE terriers. Secondly, Pit Bull breeds need very FIRM and CONSISTENT, training. If you let them get away with something once, they will try to get away with everything. Pit Bulls can be very sneaky. But, they are people pleasers and a very smart, so do not get discouraged or impatient, and take it slow. Don't expect to much of your dog. Set them up to succeed and not to fail. Always end on a positive note. Make sure you are upbeat and happy. Be calm. If you find yourself getting frustrated. Do one more repetition, let the dog succeed. Then quit training until you have calmed down. Come back to it later. Break your training sessions down into 5-10-15 minute segments. Two or three times per day. This will help you and your dog progress faster. Be open minded, and if it seems like something isn't working, try a differnent technique. Do not make training a chore. Training should be fun. If the dog is bored, it won't want to participate. Pit Bulls respond to positive training because of several reasons. However, the main reason is their need to please their people. You use positive training by not correcting your dog when they don't do what you want. You use positive training to encourage your dog to think. Positive training will for a bond between you and the dog and you will be working together as a team.

you train it by maby repeating a trick over till it knows it by memory and every one in a while tell it to them again for them to remember or if you want to potty train it youn take it every time it needs to outside till it gets used to it.
