What is reputation?
Let me tell you a true personal experience. As a senior in high school i didn't take calculus, instead i took algebra 2 and they took it as calculus and the teachers did that because i won an Academic medal for Math Modules, so they decided it was ok for them to help me in that way, i was also very respectful with the teachers, so my point is; i never thought that my nerdiness and politeness would help me in any way, but it did, i didn't have to take calculus!!!
Also I have a sister, and she is 22, she was very aware of her reputation at school, well she was so busy building her reputation she didn't get into a good college thanks to her bad grades at school, and now ask her where all of her friends are. She never sees them anymore.
Why would you change your future for people who you are never going to see again,? and if you see them again are they going pay your tuition at college because you didn't get a scholarship because of your bad grades because you were too busy trying to impress them?
I'm not saying, "don't have friends", just balance your social and academic life, i know you can do it, because you posting this question means you care, think about it.

your 'rep' will be nonexistant as soon as high school is over, and all you'll have to fall back on when you're in college is the lessons you're supposed to learn now. Not a college professor out there will care about your rep, which you carefully protected by not focusing and learning to your fullest potential.
You can have fun, but if you are missing out on learning by goofing off, that's not funny or cool or charming.
It's just plain stupid.

What's more important your reputation to some people you know now.Or being able to survive in the real world with a much needed education. Some of these kids will forget all about you when they graduate. You may never see them again. But what you put in your brain helps you learn and make the most of life.

well, you need to decide what is more important to you...your rep or your education. Im not your mother, so im not going to tell you what i should tell you. I am going to be totally honest.
It is your decision you have to make. Would you rather be a class-clown and have lots of friends, or, would you rather be a good student, get into a good college, and have a good steady job?? you just need to decide whats important to you.

No way should you stop being the fun guy. If people like you start studying, passing and graduating, there won't be anybody left to deliver my pizza. Bummer.

You should pass notes when necessary... I'm not to choose when necessary is... It's your boundary... Also, you can do all kinds of crazy stuff if you want to as long as you get a high C... (no pun intended) Also, if you pass notes to your girl, be cute AND smart...
