She would be a surrogate mother in a *pack*. These are very special animals and can produce milk to nurse a baby whose mother may be dead. Nature has their way to deal with situations such as this.
She is a special dog... don't worry about her.

GOOD LUCK

Some bitches go through a 'placebo' pregnancy. It can usually be becuase there is a dog that is new in the area and the dogs instinct (from being wild) is to become pregnant as there is another alpha male in the area, so in essence the new dog is unable to mate with her.

I am quoting this off the top of my head as i remember hearing it on a documentary. However, I would still take her down to the vets.

Well expect puppies any time now! Maybe even tonight. Unless she is having a false pregnancy then they will have all the signs and symptoms of a real pregnancy but not be pregnant
Only time will tell. It may be shorter than you think.
If she didn't produce any pups by the morning then get her into the vets for a quick check!!!

if she was only with a male near christmas, she would be a bit overdueby now. however, some dogs heat cycles can be 2 weeks or so, so if she was with a male after that, she could possobly be ready to deliver. also, false pregnancies are not too unusual in dogs. i had a shitzu who had them quite often. usually its a hormone screw-up. she should not be "very skinny" at any rate. have you wormed her recently? sounds like a vet check is in order.

If she isnt pregnant, then it could be a phantom pregnancy. I dont know much about them but the dog experiences all the symptoms of pregnancy, but isnt pregnant. Though if she was exposed to a male dog whilst in season, i guess she could br pregnant, though i would expect her to show by now.

I think either she is pregnant with a small litter or she is having a false pregnancy. Dogs sometimes will think they are pregnant and develop milk with no other symptoms of having buns in the oven. Just keep a good eye on her.

Just before horses give birth they have milk too. I think you may have a litter really soon...I had a cat that you could not tell she was pregnant...she had a lot of fur and just looked a little fat. Boy was I wrong.

Hi
yes is is pregnant and trying to nest...give her a box with towels and a quiet dark place....take her temp...if it dips to 99 or below, she will labor within the next 12-24 hours....also you should be able to feel the babies moving in her abdomen...keep her quiet and show lots of attention talking to her and rubbing her tummy...she will roll on her back and , then she will start to relax feeling that you know what's going on...let me know how she does...take her temp though and watch for any discharge....lots of luck and kiss the pups for me!

Your dog might be pregnant but try to remember if your dog has been outside alone she might have been with a male dog and gotten pregnant.
